Now for the mature adults out there. I'm not looking for the usual ';substitue'; recipes like spaghetti, chili, sloppy joes, tacos, etc. I have already worn those out, but I'm sure that there are people out there who have gotten inventive with ground turkey, please share. i tend to make very fresh quesodillas.
i use taco seasoning (sorry for the lame generic...ness.)
brown the meat
stir in taco seasoning
in a warm, but not hot skillet,
lay down a flour tortilla (i use whole wheat)
sprinkle with ';mexican mix'; cheese
cover with meat
add diced tomatoes
cilantro (even corn, if you like... i dont)
lettuce
sour cream
fresh avacado
salsa
olives...
its simple, you can eat on it for a couple of days, and if you store all the ingredients seperately, you can reheat any portion you like!
also, meatloaf with a twist:
use classic meatloaf recipe.
replace onions with onion powder or garlic
(to taste. i only use a little)
fresh basil leaves, finely chopped
replace peppers with sun-dried tomatoes
(finely chopped. i honestly just eye it)
add very small diced chunks of baby portabello mushrooms.
add provolone cheese to the mix
(small chunks add an awesome texture and compliments the flavor so well!)
and to top, use heinz 57 instead of ketchup.
i know none of these are very specific, but i kind of just eye everything i cook.
hope these helped!
I know you said you had tried chili...but white chili is wonderful and uses ground turkey.....

I pretty much use ground turkey in anything that I鈥檇 use ground beef for; I just add more seasonings than I would with beef. I know, not what you are looking for.
I think one of the more creative things I make with ground turkey is鈥?
Turkey appetizers.
1 lb ground turkey
2 teaspoons chopped garlic
陆 teaspoon ground ginger, or grated fresh ginger
陆 cup chopped onions
陆 cup panko bread crumbs
录 cup fresh cilantro leaves chopped
录 teaspoon crush red pepper flakes
1 tablespoon olive oil
Mix everything up and let sit in the fridge for about an hour, or over night. Make small patties out of the mix, and cook in a hot skillet with olive oil (no oil and they will stick like crazy) until browned and cooked through.
Top with plumb sauce, warmed red peppers and fresh pineapple.
I have found that you can substitute ground turkey for ground beef any time. Since I don't know what your tastes are I would recommend checking out this website www.allrecipes.com I have found some of my best recipes from there. Find something with ground beef that sounds oh so yummy and just sub the turkey. Easy pie.
