I was wondering for some gravy ideas, but there will not be any juices from the turkey being cooked for broth gravy.
I don鈥檛 want to buy gravy from a can either. Any ideas or Recipes?
Also I鈥檓 having a mixed south-west vegetables on the side and home-made bread that takes 2 days to get ready.Turkey- gravy recipes/ideas?
how about a salsa..instead of gravy...and its healthy...
INGREDIENTS
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
4 turkey steaks
1 (10 ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chile peppers
1 (15 ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained
1 (8.75 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained
1 pinch ground cumin
DIRECTIONS
brown turkey on both sides... Add tomatoes with green chile peppers, beans and corn. Reduce heat and let simmer for 25 to 30 minutes or until turkey is cooked through and juices run clear. Add a dash of cumin and serve.
or you could mix the ';salsa on the side and just top the turkey...Turkey- gravy recipes/ideas?
I'd have to agree with your first answer, because most gravy recipes call for pan drippings as the base.

INGREDIENTS
1 (.87 ounce) package McCormick庐 Turkey Gravy Mix
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups cold water
1/2 cup turkey pan drippings or turkey broth
1/2 cup cooked, chopped turkey giblets
DIRECTIONS
Combine Turkey Gravy Mix and flour in a medium saucepan. Using a whisk, gradually stir in water, turkey drippings and turkey giblets.
Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes or until thickened.

1 teaspoon yeast extract spread, e.g. Marmite/Vegemite
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups hot water
4 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup cold water
2 tablespoons cornstarch
DIRECTIONS
Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in yeast extract spread, onion powder, and salt until smooth. Gradually whisk in 1 1/2 cups water so no lumps form. Bring to a boil. In a small cup, stir together 1/2 cup cold water and cornstarch. Stir the cornstarch mixture into the saucepan, and continue boiling until thickened. Cool slightly before serving.
