I use ground turkey in place of ground beef in everything. I love it !!!! I made Chili without beans and added ground turkey and macaroni and called it goulash !!! It was delicious !!!Any good recipes for ground turkey?
Use it in any recipe that calls for browned %26amp; drained ground beef--cook it the same.

Spaghetti meat sauce, tacos, sloppy joes (or, sloppy TOMS), lasagna, nachos, chili or whatever.

You'll need extra ';binder'; if you use it for meatloaf or burgers--it is so lean that it falls apart.
Sure...I use it all the time, though I use ground chicken more often because the texture is better.

turkey tacos: To ground turkey add: garlic powder, cumin, ground red pepper, black pepper. Saute until cooked through, and add taco sauce or salsa, maybe some powdered mole powder if you want. Simmer until well-mixed, add in some chopped cilantro when you are done. Serve in torillas with cheese and guacamole.

turkey chili: Sub turkey for ground beef

Mexaroni: To mac n cheese, add ground turkey with taco seasonings listed above

Meditteranean turkey pita: Add oregano, garlic, onion, salt, pepper to ground turkey. Into warmed pita add cooked turkey, sliced cucumber, feta cheese, olives, sliced onions and tzatziki sauce....just a few....you can do lasagna or spaghetti or layered taco dip with turkey too :) Basically if it's a recipe with ground beef, you can sub ground turkey (but again, ground chicken is WAY tastier!)
I don't eat red meat so ground turkey is something I use alot when I want to eat meat. Like the others have said you can use ground turkey the same as you would in all the recipes calling for ground beef but here is one way I use it that tastes really good. I don't know if you have ever had an empanada but it is a spanish meat pastry.

sautee' onions in a frying pan, add the ground turkey when the onions are ready, add salt and pepper to taste, add about a teaspoon of ground cumin for every two pounds of ground turkey ( a bit more if when you taste it the flavor isn't evident) use a cheese grader and grade two mediium sized potatoes into the ground turkey while it is cooking in the frying pan, let simmer until the potatoes are soft, this won't take long since they are shredded finely. let the mixture cool and put a heaping table spoon onto the middle of an empanada disc ( you can buy them in your local supermarket in the goya frozen section, they only cost about $1.39 for about 10 grandes (big) ) fold it over and seal with a bit of water on the edges. fry in a medium sized pot filled halfway with oil. fry until golden brown on both sides and enjoy. You can make a bunch and reheat in the oven for a quick snack or a meal .

note: make sure the oil is hot before you put the empanadas in also my son likes to dip his in hot sauce as he eats them but feel free to try whatever you like if you want a sauce.
Any recipe that calls for ground beef would be good for ground turkey. The only difference is that the turkey is more lean and may need the addition of a little oil in the cooking. It may not need more oil in some recipes, like chili or sauces.
Any ground beef recipe will taste good with turkey instead (brugers, spaghetti and meat sauce, chili).
