Can I substitute carrots for red bell pepper in my turkey burger recipe?

I don't have any red bell pepper on hand, but I do have carrots. Would that taste weird? Any other suggestions? Can I substitute carrots for red bell pepper in my turkey burger recipe?
yes you can! shredded not diced, otherwise they won't cook thoroughly. just remember carrots are sweet... ESPECIALLY after cooked.. so don't add too many. maybe you should add chopped celery? or perhaps small diced potatoes? Can I substitute carrots for red bell pepper in my turkey burger recipe?
The carrots will sweeten your burger. However, that may not be too bad, maybe if you add a small amount of bread crumbs, you may get a festive taste, if you have craisons (dried cranberries) then this would be perfect.
They would probably taste ok, but they take a lot longer to cook, so either grate them or use your peeler to make ribbons from them.
It would probly be fine, But I couldn't tell for sure since I don't eat meat.
