Ground Turkey Recipes?

I am defrosting about 1.5 lbs of ground turkey right now so I can make dinner when I get home from class tonight.





I'm sick of my same ground turkey recipes, do you have any RECIPES? I'd love if they used pantry ingredients so I don't have to go to the store :)

Tantalizing Turkey Burgers


Ingredients:


1 pound lean (93%) ground turkey


2 tablespoons Dijon mustard, divided


1 garlic clove, pressed


1/2 teaspoon salt


1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves


1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper


5 tablespoons fresh grated Parmesan cheese


2 teaspoons vegetable oil, divided


4 ounces mushrooms, sliced (about 1 cup)


1 medium onion, thinly sliced


1 teaspoon honey


3 onion rolls, split








Directions:


1.Combine ground turkey, 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard, garlic, salt, thyme and black pepper; mix lightly but thoroughly. Form turkey mixture into 4 round patties, 陆 inch thick. Coat patties evenly with cheese. Set aside.


2.In Large (10-in.) Skillet, heat 1 teaspoon oil over medium heat until hot. Cook mushrooms and onion 6-8 minutes or until onion is tender. Remove from Skillet to Small Batter Bowl. Toss with remaining 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard and honey; keep warm.


3.Heat remaining 1 teaspoon oil in same Skillet until hot. Cook patties 10 minutes or until meat is no longer pink in center, turning once with Nylon Turner. Place turkey burger on bottom of roll; top with an equal amount of the mushroom and onion mixture. Cover with top half of roll.


Yield: 4 sandwiches





Sweet %26amp; Smoky Turkey Burgers


Ingredients:


Sauce


1/2 cup (125 mL) apple jelly


1/2 cup (125 mL) barbecue sauce


2 tsp (10 mL) Tabasco庐 chipotle pepper sauce


11/2 tsp (7 mL) cider vinegar





Burgers


2 garlic cloves, pressed


1/4 cup (50 mL) chopped green onions


1 pkg (11/4 lb/625 g) 93% lean ground turkey


1/4 tsp (1 mL) salt


1/8 tsp (0.5 mL) ground black pepper


4 hamburger buns or onion rolls, split


Assorted toppings such as lettuce, sliced tomato, sliced onion or shredded cheese (optional)





Directions:


1.For sauce, combine jelly, barbecue sauce, pepper sauce and vinegar in small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Cook 5-7 minutes or until thickened, stirring constantly. Reserve 1/4 cup of the sauce for burgers. Pour remaining sauce into Prep Bowl and cool 10 minutes.


2.Meanwhile, for burgers, combine turkey, reserved sauce, green onions, garlic, salt and black pepper; mix gently but thoroughly. Form into four round patties, about 1/2-inch/1 cm thick. Pour remaining sauce into Barbecue Basting Bottle.


3.Prepare grill for direct cooking over medium coals. Place patties on grid of grill. Grill, covered, 5-6 minutes. Turn burgers and baste with half of the sauce. Grill 2-3 minutes; turn and baste with remaining sauce. Grill an additional 2-3 minutes or until meat is no longer pink in center. Serve burgers on buns with assorted toppings, if desired.

Zucchini Stuffed With Bulgur And Ground Turkey





Ingredients





3 md zucchini


2 scallions -- minced


1/2 green pepper


3 sprigs parsley


1 c canned tomatoes


1/2 lb ground turkey


1/4 ts pepper


1/8 ts cayenne pepper


1/2 ts allspice


3/4 c bulgur


1 tomato paste -- to taste


1 lemon wedges





Instructions





Place zucchini in a large deep skillet and add enough boiling water to cover. Cook for 10 to 12 minutes, then chill quickly under cold water. Cut off stem end of each zucchini and split lengthwise. Starting from wide end of vegetable, scoop out pulp with a spoon,leaving a 1/2 inch thick shell; reserve pulp. Place shells in a 9x13 baking dish.





Preheat oven to 350.





In a food processor mince scallions, green peppers, and parsley. Add drained tomatoes (reserve the liquid), reserved zucchini pulp, turkey, spices, and bulgur and process until well mixed.





Generously spoon mixture into scooped zucchini shells. Add enough water to reserved tomato liquid to make 1 cup, stir in a little tomato paste, and pour around the bottom of baking dish. Cover pan with foil and bake for 35 minutes, removing foil every 10 minutes to baste with liquid. Remove foil completely for last 5 minutes of baking. Serve hot with lemon wedges.
Use any sort of a ground beef recipe you have and replace the ground beef with the ground turkey. Here are 2 ideas ----





Southwestern Skillet Bake





1 pound lean ground beef


1 jar (16 ounces) Thick 'n Chunky salsa


1 can (11 ounces) whole kernel corn, drained


1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese (6 ounces)


1 cup Original Bisquick庐 mix


3 eggs








1. Heat oven to 400潞F. Cook beef in 10-inch ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat 5 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until brown; drain. Stir in salsa and corn; heat over medium-high heat until hot.


2. Reserve 2 tablespoons of the cheese. Stir Bisquick mix, eggs and remaining cheese in medium bowl until blended. Spoon batter around edge of beef mixture, leaving center uncovered. Sprinkle with reserved cheese.


3. Bake uncovered about 20 minutes or until golden brown and toothpick inserted in topping comes out clean.





Substitution


Use Green Giant庐 Mexicorn庐 whole kernel corn with red and green peppers instead of plain corn to add even more of a Southwest twist to this skillet bake.

Don鈥檛 have Cheddar cheese? Use the same amount of another cheese you have on hand.














Hamburger Stroganoff





1 to 1 1/2 pounds ground beef


8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced (2 1/2 cups)


2 medium onions, thinly sliced


1 garlic clove, finely chopped


1/4 cup butter or margarine


1 1/2 cups beef broth


1/2 teaspoon salt


1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce


1/4 cup Gold Medal庐 all-purpose flour


1 1/2 cups sour cream


3 cups hot cooked egg noodles








1. Cook mushrooms, onions and garlic in butter in 10-inch skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until onions are tender; remove from skillet.


2. Cook beef in same skillet until brown. Drain off grease. Stir in 1 cup of the broth, the salt and Worcestershire sauce. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 15 minutes.


3. Stir remaining 1/2 cup broth into flour; stir into beef mixture. Add onion mixture; heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute. Stir in sour cream; heat until hot (do not boil). Serve over noodles.
the thing I use ground turkey the most for is tacos. That probably doesn't help you because you probably make tacos already too. But I just use a taco seasoning packet and all the usual taco makings. You could try allrecipes.com. You can actually do a search based on ingredients and look for recipes with ground turkey. If you like burgers there are some good turkey mushroom burgers.

make rice and put it with some tomato sauce. sautee the ground turkey and put it in with that.





then stuff the hollowed-out peppers (i cut them in half) with the mixture and put something like BBQ sauce or tomato sauce with honey on the top.





bake until peppers are tender. yum.
